COURSE DESCRIPTION

    Marketing is not just selling or advertising. It is a rigorous, disciplined science that applies a reasoned framework to the selection of target markets and the optimization of marketing decisions. This course provides an introduction to the fundamental concepts of marketing, including a customer orientation, matched with attention to competition and core strengths. More in details, it deals with basic marketing concepts focusing on the importance of marketing as a value-creation lever and analyzing all the phases of the marketing process. The course is designed as an introductory survey of marketing topics for students who have not previously taken a marketing course. There are no prerequisites. In this course you will learn to look at marketing problems through the lens of an analytical framework that will help you better understand.

 

LECTURER

    NAIXI LIU

    Dr. LIU is Assistant Professor in School of International Economics, in China Foreign Affairs University. He got his PhD of Economics from China Agricultural University and has studied in Pennsylvania State University during PhD Study. He also had a MBA in finance and Mathematics Bachelor degree. Before entering into academic profession, LIU has worked as an management consultant for 5 years and accumulated lots of real industry consulting experience. LIU has a deep understanding of marketing both embed in the business and economics academic and practice. To combine normal analysis and positive analysis is the key highlights of this marketing course, which would both present a systematic introduction of the classic marketing framework and also supply a whole tool box for real markets need.
