COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course introduces you how markets work, how they interact globally, and how they affect you personally. It begins with an introduction to the theories of the consumer and the producer, and then discusses the situations in which efficient resource allocations cannot be achieved. This course also exams what determines inflation, unemployment, and economic growth and how government policy affects the overall performance of the economy. Class lectures are combined with in-class experiments to demonstrate key economic concepts. The objectives of this course are to deepen your knowledge of the world, develop new intellectual skills, and integrate your knowledge and skills.
